Rhubarb Farm - Rhubarb Recovery Project

Rhubarb Farm is a horticultural social enterprise. The farm's aims are to support people to change their lives for the better, and help them to develop confidence, resilience, new skills, and knowledge. Throughout the Rhubarb Recovery Project you will be supported by Recovery Lead, Ben, and our Mental Health trained support workers. You will have the opportunity to do many different and varied roles and hopefully pick up some new hobbies and interests along the way.

The Your Choices Matter programme has been designed to adopt a 360-degree approach to support people in recovery from alcohol and substance abuse. The name of the programme is highly pertinent. The choices that all human beings make have consequences. By ensuring a collection of more conscious and carefully deliberated decisions (each waken hour and day) people can find a more positive place in their personal and work life.

Social eating at Holmgate Evangelical Church, Valley Road, Clay Cross, every second and fourth Friday of every month from 5pm until 7pm. Have a meal and even get involved as a volunteer – all welcome.

Stand To Ex-Forces Service

STAND TO is an alcohol service dedicated to Derbyshire’s Ex-Forces community. We cover the whole of Derbyshire. At STAND TO our dedicated, experienced and highly trained staff, volunteers and peer mentors (most of whom themselves are ex- forces), have a particular awareness of the issues veterans and their families may experience. We also understand some of the challenges individuals may face in admitting alcohol is a problem and the conflict often felt in asking for support. Get in touch for an informal chat.

Staywell Derby has started a lived experience led support group around prescription addiction. The group is based around the principles of SMART Recovery and is led by Paul who went through 5 years of prescription medication addiction and is now in long term recovery. The group will be run weekly on a Friday evening on Zoom and is open to anyone within Derby City or Derbyshire. The 4-Point Programme is the foundation and building blocks of SMART. Many of the tools and techniques can be used not only for your recovery journey, but to help you deal with future problems and achieve more satisfaction and balance in your life. This project provides enhanced housing management services for 18 - 35 year olds, which are designed to keep you in your home by preventing evictions, reducing anti- social behaviour and effective rent management.

Talking Mental Health Derbyshire

We offer a range of therapies for people experiencing common psychological difficulties, such as feeling anxious, low, or depressed. We are a free and confidential service for adults 16 years and over who are registered with a Derbyshire GP. Our trained psychological therapists use talking therapies, such as counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy, to help people move towards recovery. See website or give us a call to self-refer.
