Our Family Interventions Worker, who has lived experience knows how difficult it can be to navigate recovery alongside a loved one. Fears of relapse, treading on eggshells, fear for the future and the stability of the family unit are some of the difficulties to face. Our family interventions support project provides advice and support to help you work through the difficulties and meet others who are experiencing similar concerns.

Let’s Talk – Wellbeing is a service that provides psychological assessment and treatment for what are known as mild to moderate common mental health problems, which 1 in 4 of us suffer with at some stage in our lives. It is normal to experience changes in your mood and behaviour at times of stress and emotional upset. Your physical health may also affect your mood and stress levels. If these changes continue to affect you, your home or your working life for a few weeks, then Let’s Talk – Wellbeing could help. Having a chance to talk to someone who is qualified to help can make all the difference.
Anyone who lives, works or studies in Derbyshire, or is visiting the county, is welcome to use our branch libraries and mobile libraries. We offer books, CDs, audio books and DVDs for loan. We also offer access to community information, newspapers and a wealth of local studies material. There is free internet access in every library.

Lower My Drinking is a free app that will give you the expert advice and scientifically-proven tools you need to reduce your drinking to the recommended limit of 14 units a week or less. We will look for details of help and support in your own area. Our lines are open 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (except for bank holidays).
