The Derbyshire Addictions Advice Services Project: Veteran-Led Recovery Connections Project will host its next walk on Wednesday, 17th December. This is a great opportunity for anyone seeking a little exercise before Christmas to join a friendly walk around Poolsbrook Country Park. The group will meet at 09:30 hrs in the car park and finish around 14:00 hrs, with a stop for a brew at the café along the way. About STAND TO DVCS
STAND TO DVCS is a support service dedicated to Derbyshire’s veteran community. Whether they were Regular or Reserve forces, served for 22 years or 2 days, STAND TO DVCS are here to help. They cover the whole of Derbyshire.
At STAND TO DVCS their motto is “we have your back” which always applies. They can offer befriending calls, a walk, and a brew or for the more adventurous water sports, Rockbox, through to archery. Their Veteran Recovery Link Worker and volunteers will support you, whatever stage of recovery, for you to come along and enjoy the much-missed camaraderie.
How to Refer or Get Involved
If you are a recovery provider or health and social care worker, you can refer people in recovery from alcohol and substance use into the project. They will need you to complete a referral form.
