The 2026 Lived Experience Career Pathway Expansion!

Derbyshire has an ambition to build a ‘home-grown’ specialist treatment and recovery workforce. This means creating pathways and opportunities where people affected by substance use can channel their lived experience into careers within the local system.

We’re pleased to announce the Lived Experience Career Pathway in Derbyshire is expanding to include Mentoring and Volunteer courses 🙌

If you’re ready to make a strong start to 2026 check out the upcoming dates for the courses:

  • Introduction to Mentoring – Delivered ONLINE
  • The Volunteer Gateway – Delivered In Person in Chesterfield in February 2026
  • Level 1 Qualification in Substance Misuse – FULL! Next course will be running in May 2026
  • Enhanced Skills Practice Course – Running monthly from January 2026
