As part of National Recovery Month, Chesterfield FC Community Trust invite you to an inspiring afternoon celebrating recovery and resilience in the heart of Chesterfield.

The event will include:

🎤 Guest Speaker: Shane Nicholson – Former professional footballer who overcame drug and alcohol addiction and now shares his powerful story of recovery
🪑 Chair-Based Exercise – Gentle, accessible physical activity suitable for all levels

CFCCT’s Spire Right Project is an 8-week recovery programme designed to support individuals in Derbyshire who have experienced alcohol and/or drug misuse. Delivered by Chesterfield FC Community Trust, the programme runs three mornings per week and combines group discussions with tailored physical activities.

Programme Features:

  • Weekly topics including healthy eating, leadership skills, and gym programmes
  • Chair-Based Exercise/Otago, team building, and gym access
  • Activities tailored to individual and group needs, with progressive intensity
  • Incentives offered throughout the programme

Additional Support from Chesterfield FC Community Trust:

  • Youth diversion, disability-inclusive sessions, and mental health support
  • Social prescribing and lifestyle interventions
  • Volunteering, employment, and training opportunities
  • Access to physical and social activities, including Chesterfield FC match attendance
  • Ongoing advice and guidance
