What to Expect:
As part of National Recovery Month, the DAAS Family Intervention Project is hosting a dedicated event for affected others, titled “Breaking the Cycle – Building Family Resilience and Recovery from Substance Use.”
This supportive and empowering session will build on the 1:1 work already undertaken with Family Intervention workers, offering a group training experience focused on:
🧠 Increasing understanding of substance use and addiction
🤝 Gaining support from others with shared experiences
💬 Improving communication within families
🛠️ Learning tools to strengthen coping skills and move forward positively
The event celebrates the progress made by families and provides a safe space to share, reflect, and grow together. Due to high interest from existing clients, places may be limited — but updates will be shared if availability changes.
