Veterans Positive Pathways will support ex-armed forces veterans who have experienced mental health and substance misuse – alcohol and drug use, to engage in a range of meetings and physical activities to support their continuing recovery.
Mutual Ex Services Support (MESS) peer to peer support meetings will be held on a weekly basis throughout the month at a different venue across Derbyshire.
A calendar timetable of various other activities based on one a month as a minimum will be planned which could last between one half or a full day event such as fishing trips, walks, excursions, and interests based on feedback from veterans.
Attendance will vary depending on individuals’ levels of confidence and abilities ranging from 1:1, to small groups of 2 – 3 people to middle and large group activities of up to 12 veterans or more.
Support is available to help with transport, travel costs and essential items.
