About the Organisation - Global Adventure Missions 

Global Adventure Missions Ltd. was founded in 2012 with the mission to “provide adventurous opportunities to learn together, serve communities, and train the next generation.”  We do that through outdoor activities that test participants emotionally as well as physically and teach community, brotherhood, and working together to overcome adversity.  Run by qualified and experienced volunteers, Global Adventure works across the United Kingdom as well as locally in the East Midlands.

About the Project - Peak Performance: Road to Recovery 

Peak Performance: Road to Recovery is a new project by Global Adventure, using various outdoor activities to help improve the mental and physical health and wellbeing of participants.  With activities ranging from campfire cooking to bushcraft to hiking and abseiling, we will have something for everyone to enjoy alongside the fresh air and camaraderie of trusted individuals.

Our aim is to provide healthy outlets, networks, and activities that will help individuals break free from any addiction or bad habits and develop discipline, community, and purpose.  Working in cooperation with other local organisations and with the sponsorship and support of the Derbyshire Recovery Partnership, we will meet weekly near Shirebrook, Bolsover and hold a larger activity in the Peak District once a month.

Bring comfortable clothes, a good set of trainers, a good attitude and a curiosity for learning new things, and our skilled activity leaders will do the rest.  We start from The Brook Community Centre in Shirebook, Wednesdays from 10-4.  See you there!
