About the Project – A Spire Right

A Spire Right is a substance misuse recovery program that is designed to help people who have/had alcohol and/or drug misuse in their lives.

The aim of this program is to engage with people to further support them through their recovery and ultimately lead a healthier lifestyle both physically and mentally.  The program is delivered for a total of 8 weeks with 3 mornings per week; the program entails 8 weekly topics ranging from healthy eating, leadership skills and gym programs, these are delivered in a group discussion environment with an informal approach.

All the above is delivered alongside 8 weeks of physical activity in the form of team building activities, Chair Based Exercise/Otago and access to the gym based at the stadium which is accessible to participants on the programme. Each aspect of the physical activity is tailored to the needs of the individuals and the group, and the intensity of the physical activity increases throughout the weeks.

There are a variety of different incentives included within the programme.
