Recovery Project Event - STAND TO: Veterans Monsal Trail Cycle Ride – 22 June 2023

Posted on: 28 Jun 2023

On 22 June 2023, our partners at STAND TO took a group of veterans on a Cycle Ride along the Monsal Trail from Hassop Station through and past Millers Dale Café, where refreshments were taken.  All levels of fitness were covered with the hire of some (not all) electric bikes supplied from the bike hire station at Hassop.

The weather held until completion of the ride, with the heavens opening, there were good conversations being held and the group supported each other with a good ear whilst also delivering the banter for which the armed forces community thrive on.  Not exactly a peloton from the Tour De France, but everyone stuck together, and a good pace was maintained!

If you would like more information on how to attend STAND TO please call 01246 959333 to speak to one of the team or visit the website https://www.standto.co.uk/
