- Date: Saturday 5 September
- Time: 11am-5pm
- Location: Pit Lane, Pleasley, Mansfield, NG19 7PH
What to Expect:
Hope Fest is a free, family-friendly and completely alcohol-free community festival created by The Third Space and Rhubarb Farm. It brings recovery, wellbeing and ordinary community life together for one big day of live music, activities, food, creativity and connection.
It is a proper festival where recovery is visible without being clinical – and where people can simply turn up, enjoy themselves and feel part of something.
The day is for people in recovery, people thinking about change, families affected by substance use, volunteers, professionals and anyone from the wider community who wants a welcoming day out. Recovery does not have to happen behind closed doors – it can look like music, laughter, food, muddy shoes and making a good memory with other people.
Hope Fest has been planned so people can dip in and out, try something new, watch a performance, have a wander or simply find somewhere comfortable to sit. There will be lively activities as well as calmer, creative and wellbeing-focused spaces.
- Live music throughout the day
- A magician and family entertainment
- Hobby-horse racing
- Face painting
- Festival games
- Fire performance
- Ear acupuncture
- Sound bath and yoga
- Film screenings from our lived-experience projects
- Community and recovery stalls
- Local makers and small businesses
- Plants and preserves
- Food, burgers and an ice cream van
Live music, films and festival entertainment
The Hope Fest stage, under the iconic headstocks, will be busy throughout the day, with musicians and performers bringing everything from acoustic sets to full-band festival noise. The line-up celebrates local talent and gives people a genuine live-music experience in a completely alcohol-free setting.

About The Third Space
The Third Space is a lived-experience-led recovery organisation based at Rhubarb Farm. We create welcoming, low-barrier spaces where people affected by substance use, trauma, neurodiversity and isolation can find connection, creativity, peer support and practical routes forward.
Hope Fest is part of our belief that recovery should be visible, ordinary and possible – not hidden away or limited to treatment rooms.
