During September, we celebrate recovery in all its forms, National Recovery Month promotes evidence-based treatment, and honours the incredible work of service providers, charities, and recovery communities across the UK.
This annual event shines a light on strong and proud recovery communities and the individuals who make recovery possible, and it’s well attended by people from across the country in a show of unity for National Recovery Month—reinforcing that change is possible and that it’s easier with the support of a recovery community.
In 2025, FAVOR UK (Faces and Voices of Recovery UK) is leading the way with two major events in Wolverhampton and a comprehensive toolkit to support local celebrations.
FAVOR UK Recovery Walk – Wolverhampton
Date: Saturday 13 September 2025
Time: 12:00 PM start
Location: The Recovery Village, West Park, Wolverhampton
Now in its 17th year, the FAVOR UK Recovery Walk is a free, family-friendly event celebrating recovery, resilience, and hope. The walk begins at The Recovery Village in West Park—Wolverhampton’s premier Victorian park—and follows a 2-mile loop past iconic landmarks including Molineux Stadium and the city centre. A shorter route is available for those who need it.
The Recovery Village will host a full day of activities:
- 🎤 Guest speakers
- 🎨 Art exhibitions
- 🧠 Live workshops
- 🎭 Performances
- 🤝 Mutual aid meetings
- 🧾 Advice and information from partner agencies
- 🍲 Food and refreshments
The event also celebrates Wolverhampton’s multicultural heritage, with music, food, and art reflecting the diversity of the recovery community.

FAVOR UK Recovery Conference – Wolverhampton
