About the Group
COME ALONG TO OUR MESS GROUP HAVE A BREW & CHAT!
STAND TO DVCS is a support service dedicated to Derbyshire’s veteran community. Whether you were Regular or Reserve forces, served for 22 years or 2 days STAND TO DVCS are here to help. We cover the whole of Derbyshire.
Our dedicated, experienced and highly trained staff (most of whom have direct experience of the Armed Forces) have a particular awareness of the issues veterans and their families may experience. We acknowledge, understand and appreciate the sacrifices that ex-forces personnel and their families have made. We understand some of the challenges individuals may experience and the conflicts often faced when asking for support.
We work closely with military and other organisations both nationally and locally to deliver a comprehensive service for those affected by alcohol misuse.
The MESS Groups are a place to come along, have a brew and catch up with people. They run in Chesterfield, Glossop, Buxton and Swadlincote.
