The Zink Project – Rise Employability Programme & Recovery Space

Project Description

The RISE project supports people in recovery into jobs, education or training.  Our qualified work coaches will help you identify what sort of work you want then take the necessary steps to get you there.  It’s all at your own pace and meetings can take place local to you.  There’s even the opportunity of a paid micro job to get you started.

Zink HQ is in Buxton and we can meet you in Glossop, New Mills and Bamford.

We are also an official Derbyshire Recovery Space

Derbyshire County Council fund us to provide a recovery space for people in recovery from substance use. A recovery space is somewhere people can go to connect with other people to support their recovery, improve their mood, confidence, physical health and reduce stress.

So… call into Zink HQ and:

  • Chat to one of our recovery crew who have their own experiences of substance harm,
  • Join in with uplifting activities to mix, learn and challenge yourself – ask for a timetable, every day is different,
  • Have a Sober Social evening (fun, friends, games laughter and, occasionally….Karaoke!)
  • Join in with a team challenge: Dragon Boat Racing, Buxton Carnival, Swim the Channel…
  • Meet NA (Wednesdays 7-8.30pm),
  • Make an appointment with a Lived Experience Recovery Supporter,
  • Get a good hot lunch or coffee and cake in our eco-café.
