Peak Performance: Road to Recovery is a project that uses various outdoor activities and authentic relational- and therapeutic-based approaches to help improve the mental and physical health and wellbeing of participants. With activities ranging from campfire cooking and bushcraft to hiking and abseiling, we will have something for everyone to enjoy alongside the fresh air and camaraderie of trusted individuals. In 2024, we also launched our Road to Recovery Bike Shop after service users provided feedback on what activities they thought would be beneficial – this shop, based in Staveley, provides the network with skills and qualifications in bike repair.

Our aim is to provide healthy outlets, networks, and activities that will help individuals break free from any addiction or bad habits and develop discipline, community, and purpose. Working in cooperation with other local organisations and with the sponsorship and support of the Derbyshire Recovery Partnership, we will meet weekly in Shirebrook, Staveley, and hold a larger activity for those in recovery as well as their friends and family in the Peak District once a month.
