The team will work with you to help you find both short-term and longer-term ways to improve your mental health, and to focus on healthy living and behaviours.

HOPELineUK is a confidential support and advice service for: Young people under the age of 35 who may be having thoughts of suicide or anyone concerned a young person may be having thoughts of suicide.
Everyone goes through difficult times, but sometimes our problems affect our day-to-day lives and we feel that we can’t cope. If you are in this situation, you are not alone. Insight talking therapies is a free and confidential service, commissioned by the NHS, and is available to anyone aged 16+ and living in Derbyshire.
Let’s Talk – Wellbeing is a service that provides psychological assessment and treatment for what are known as mild to moderate common mental health problems, which 1 in 4 of us suffer with at some stage in our lives. It is normal to experience changes in your mood and behaviour at times of stress and emotional upset. Your physical health may also affect your mood and stress levels. If these changes continue to affect you, your home or your working life for a few weeks, then Let’s Talk – Wellbeing could help. Having a chance to talk to someone who is qualified to help can make all the difference.
Anyone who lives, works or studies in Derbyshire, or is visiting the county, is welcome to use our branch libraries and mobile libraries. We offer books, CDs, audio books and DVDs for loan. We also offer access to community information, newspapers and a wealth of local studies material. There is free internet access in every library.
If you want help and support to stop smoking, lose weight, become more active, or improve your diet or overall wellbeing, we can help you to make the changes needed to improve the way you feel now and in the future.
Our team provides information on a range of topics including types of mental health problem, where to get help, medication and alternative treatments and advocacy. We will look for details of help and support in your own area. Our lines are open 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (except for bank holidays).
